GRAPHITE & GLASS

Although bamboo rodmaking is my primary focal point, I also have experience with fiberglass and custom graphite rods, with emphasis on the graphite side of things. I have restored, repaired, rebuilt and modified a number of vintage fiberglass rods in the past.
I have built numerous custom graphite rods as well, ranging from shorter 5' foot spinning rods to longer and faster casting rods on up to a variety of fly rods of all types and lengths. If you have a particular style of blank you wish to have built out, let me know and we can discuss the specifics to customize it for you. Prices vary when it comes to fiberglass rods and are negotiated on a case by case basis. It has become somewhat difficult to acquire older "vintage" type fiberglass blanks and the cost can generally be pricey. A modern type of fiberglass construction called "e-glass" and "s-glass" are currently on the market and available to consumers.
Standard rate for graphite rod customization is conducted at: $10.00/hr. (labor).
